Snapchat Stories May Soon Be Embeddable
Snapchat Stories could soon branch out in a big way.
According to a report from streaming news service Cheddar, Snapchat parent company Snap is working on a feature dubbed Stories Everywhere that will let users to embed Stories originally posted to Snapchat on the Web, similar to how y'all tin can embed Twitter tweets on a website. Snap is currently in the "early stages" of developing this feature, which is intended to assistance the company grow its user base, the report notes. At this point, there's no word as to when Stories Everywhere might get in.
Snapchat did non immediately respond to PCMag's request for comment.
Snapchat has reportedly hired the former CEO of News Corp's social news agency Storyful, Rahul Chopra, to head upward the Stories Everywhere project.
"Chopra has the of import job of figuring out how to finally distribute the app'due south wealth of user-generated content on the web and elsewhere," Cheddar reported, citing an unnamed source.
